OUR TEAM
IZZY CARTER
Vice President
Hi, I’m Izzy and I’m a third year undergraduate. I’m mainly interested in rocks, particularly of the metamorphic and igneous kinds. Fieldwork is one of my favourite parts of the degree, partly because it means I get to visit lots of cool places! Most recently, I spent 2 months of the summer doing my mapping project in South Greenland.
REBECCA YATES
Secretary
Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m a third year undergraduate Earth Scientist. I love the fieldwork aspect of Earth Sciences - so far it has taken me all around the UK and most recently the the Swiss Alps for 6 weeks.
LEWIS WALLER
Treasurer
Hi, my name is Lewis. I am a fourth-year earth scientist. I am currently researching mineral formation in the Elmalhat Anorthosite Complex. I really enjoy the travelling aspect of the degree.
TAMSIN SAVVIDES
Oxford Events Manager
Hi I'm Tamsin, I'm a third year Earth Sciences undergraduate, and the Oxford Events Coordinator for our SEG chapter. Fieldwork for my degree has taken me all around the UK (including on a joint SEG fieldtrip to visit Cornish mines). I also just returned from my summer mapping project in South Greenland. I like being outside in the sunshine and playing the piano.
ANNA BIDGOOD
Minister Without Portfolio
Hi, i’m Anna, I am a PhD student working on the structural and metamorphic evolution of the ultra high-pressure Tso Morari dome in the Indian Himalaya. I have a love of remote (and snowy) places but when I have to be in Oxford you’ll find me on the rugby pitch.
